featured artists: Vladimir Anokhin
RussianWorking in the artistic community in Moscow Vladimir developed a style of landscape and portrait painting that rejected any social or political overtones striving to depict the otherness in creation. Each painting was considered a story in which the viewer is invited to take part.Whilst Kuindji and other Russian Masters still exert an influence on Vladimir’s work – notably in colours and tonalities – his renewed painting is moving further into the psychoanalytical, dreamlike, exploration of our world and thoughts.Education:2005 - MA, History of Art, Birkbeck, University of London1985 – Diploma in Fine Art, Moscow College of ArtSelected Exhibitions:2008 - With Clase Contemporary at the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea 2001 - The Lawson Gallery Cambridge1996 - Southwark Festival, London1995 - Heffer Gallery, London1995 - Gallery 47, London1992 - Richmond Gallery, Cork Sreet1990-3 - Churzee Studio Gallery London1988 - The Moscow Exhibition1987 - Centre of Folk At, Moscow
